Bahulu is a traditional staple Malay snack food that has tremendous popularity in Malaysia. Bahulu is very famous among the Malays, Chinese and Indians. They are not only high in demand during festivals, but now increasingly popular as gifts to friends and relatives. In addition, Bahulu can be found easily around Malaysia, suitable for an afternoon tea session with family members.

Sumo's Fresh Oven Kuih Bahulu (Mini Cakes) are baked daily onsite. They are baked to perfection with a crisp golden brown texture on the outside and soft in the inside.

Recipe:

Ingredients:
40 pcs Egg (Grade A)
1 Pkt Sugar (1450gm)
1 Pkt Sumo's Bahulu Flour (1332gm)

    Instructions:
  1. Stir bahulu mix with eggs at high speed until the mix is foaming (45 mins)
  2. Stir mix with hand slowly and a short while to make sure mix is not lumpy
  3. Heat the baking plate beforehand and then brushing with oil
  4. Scoop the mix into baking plate
  5. Make sure the baking tin is filled up properly
  6. Put the baking tin into oven and bake until golden brown and cakes have risen
  7. Take out the cooked bahulu and let it cool. Continue this process to make more
